I first heard about this school from a relative who had gone through there course. I decided on attending one of there free half day courses where I learned about their school and their philosophy regarding trading. After reading books on trading for years and watching dvd courses I still wasn't profitable at best break even. They have a free course online the 7 pillars of trading that gets into their style / approach for trading. After going to countless other seminars I was surprised to find out that Online Trading Academy was an actual school, not one of these hotel seminars. After I went to there free halfday class I wasn't ready to sign up right then but I was invited to a night time graduate even where they had Bob Dunn one of their futures instructors talk about trading futures and trading the gaps and some other approaches. But more importantly I was able to talk with the grads and see what they thought of the initial course , the professional trader course.
I eventually signed up because I wanted the hands on experience and the ability of being able to ask questions to a professional trader, I didn't know too many people before hand who were consistently profitable. Their website has all their instructors and their biographies readily available. I knew how much the course was before I ever walked in the door, everything is listed on the website.
I am very happy with my investment the biggest thing the school taught me was how to keep my losses small , how to scale in and out of positions, and now I have the confidence in knowing that what I am doing is right vs. wrong. It's difficult to be at home trading by yourself and answering your own questions of why "this" is happening.
On another note, learning to trade is an acquired skill. I don't think anyone is "born" a great trader. They have all learned from someone who is better than themselves. I have retaken the course twice because I wasn't able to absorb all the info the first time I took it. I wish I had taken this course years ago, lots of time and money wasted trying to figure it out on my own!. It took me about 6 months after taking the course and working on my trading plan to start turning profits. For anyone who is looking at trading as a get rich quick scheme, this isn't for you. It takes alot of time and you have to be motivated.
Trading is not easy don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!!

Without going into a preamble about how trading works, it is IMPOSSIBLE to learn how to trade futures, options or equities in a week, two week or three week long course. IMPOSSIBLE. Don't pay Online Trading Academy or anyone else good money to try to bypass the necessary practice and long learning curve that one must go through in order to make money in a very competitive venture.

I attended a free seminar at Online Trading Academy and it was more than pathetic and just smells like a way to prey on the elderly for their money. Questions weren't allowed which is probably smart because I had hundreds of questions that would expose them for what they are. The only type of person that this would probably be good for is the type of person who has a lot of money, and I dont see many elderly people spending 11k on this program and having enough left over to invest and come remotely close to making it back.
Online Trading Academy instructors didn't present any sort of qualifications and just presented some basic resistance levels which may seem complicated to a newbie but is really nothing you cant learn from reading a book.
I found it funny they were talking about how you would get to "trade with their money" and they acted as though they are taking ANY risk at all. You are going to pay them 11k and then trade with a small portion of your money, there is no risk of losing money to them at all. Also I found it laughable they want you to think buying you lunch for 5 days is anything to be proud about.
Most laughable was their extremely high pressure sales pitch, which they were saying you need to buy NOW or risk having the price doubled. Why wouldn't you want to let people think about making an 11k purchase? Because you know they are going to talk to someone about it and learn what a horrible idea that is. Believe me there are many better places you can spend 11k and learn how to day trade or actively invest from qualified people. Also, mutual funds are an EXCELLENT choice for people who dont want to actively invest, as the people who run a lot of these funds are highly trained and actively managing the funds.
Also their whole program with commissions and getting 20% back until your tuition is paid is bullshit. You can easily find other platforms that charge 20% less in commissions.
I cant say anything about their training, but I CAN tell you that these guys are preying on the elderly and you are much better off putting your money in some actively managed funds. These guys dont have any stats or audits and it will take you a long time to make back your original investment if you make it back at all. DON'T GO TO A SEMINAR IF YOU ARE EASILY BULLIED INTO BUYING THINGS.
online trading academy instructors are really dialed into what the latest way/methods of improving your trade potential no matter what the market scenario. this school teaches you the right way to think/trade with the best
Asked them to show proof that the teachers are real traders in the NYC office and all they could come up with was some obscure SEC rule that pertains to them not being allowed to reveal that information to potential students. When I pressed them on where that rule was I was SHOCKED to learn that they did not know where this supposed rule was and that I should read everything the SEC has written. If this was a real rule by the SEC it would be readily shown to anyone who ever asked that question.
Place is a scam, RUN from them as fast as you can!!
